HISTORY OF TOP PREACHERS & CHOSEN LEADERS’ INSTITUTE

Tabernacle of Praise School of Ministry was founded by Dr. Effell Williams, Sr. in January of 2007. It was Dr. Williams’ vision that TOP School of Ministry became a training ground for young and aspiring ministers of the gospel. Bolstered by Saint Thomas Christian College, TOP School of Ministry has the privilege of offering accredited degrees in theology and ministry. In January 2007, Dr. Williams appointed Minister Darrio Melton as Director of the School of Ministry. Minister Melton has had the privilege to expand TOP School of Ministry by establishing TOP Preachers & Chosen Leaders’ Institute.

WHAT IS TOP PREACHERS & CHOSEN LEADERS’ INSTITUTE?

Tabernacle of Praise Preachers & Chosen Leaders’ Institute is an arm of Tabernacle of Praise School of Ministry whose sole purpose is to equip lay persons, church leaders, and those called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is an intensive training program mixed with strong academics and practical experience through service either in your local church or your local community. We aim to assist the local church by formally training and developing their current or perspective leaders for ministerial excellence. We work in connection with the local church by providing the requisite training for licensing and ordination. Students will be jointly mentored by TOP faculty and by their pastor and/or his/her designate.
